About the Classic Yacht Restoration GuildThe Classic Yacht Restoration Guild, Inc. (CYRG) was founded in 1982 by Rick Carrion to foster the traditions associated with American maritime culture and boat building, particularly those associated with the Northeastern part of the United States and the Chesapeake Bay. Presently, the CYRG is managed by its Board who are listed below and who meet bi-annually to oversee progress on the projects. Active participation by CYRG members in on-going projects is highly encouraged! The Guild publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Helm, to advise the membership on the status of on-going projects. The Guild's ongoing projects as of August 2007 include:
